Happy March:

This month Bruce and I would like to take a different approach for our GW Friends.  We had a very interesting chat with our personal banker about how easy it is these days to create theft… financial, personal and identity.  So expanding on this interesting chat and knowing that each of us do travel now and then, we are planning on having a special guest speaker at our March 6th breakfast social on Protecting Your Identity and Your Money:  9AM at the Truckers Inn in Faribault.  Everyone that is interested it welcome to come for a bit to eat, and some information that is sometimes unbelievable.

Along with the guest speaker, we are including a web page that is real interesting and is worth the time to take a look at.  The web page, www.lookstoogoodtobetrue.com is really interesting.  I took some of the quick tests and found out that when Bruce is shaking his head at me because I rip up junk mail before I toss it.  This web page confirmed that I am taking the correct action to protect us.

We are asking that you take the time to talk to your personal banker this month and find out about pre-paid credit cards while you travel or for purchases over the internet.  Then if someone skims your number they will not be able to max out at a high balance, only the balance you have in the account.

We hope this information has been valuable to you as it is for us.  We hope to see you on the 6th of March, at the Truckers Inn.

If we cannot ride, then we can get prepared to ride safely.

We are all getting excited about spring coming and that the motorcycle has been resting long enough.

So what am I getting at with temperatures in the 30 or 34 degree range there has some melting and refreezing.  Overnight we had a light layer of snow, this covers that ice.  Therefore, we end up on a wrist, knee, hip, back, broken leg, or even worse hitting our head.

So, if we have a motorcycle in shape, we have to be very careful to have our body in shape.   So we are ready to ride, be very careful in those parking lots and sidewalks.

Talk to you all next month; keep those feet close to the ground.  Be safe.
