Good day Minnesotans! Is it Spring yet????
We don't know about you but we are ready for some nice weather!
This year promises to be a busy one again but if we're blessed with good health, that's the way we like it....busy and full of fun. It's never too early to start thinking about getting your bike and your health in good shape so you can have many safe miles again this year. We're riding on Tuesday evenings this year so that we can attend some of the local concert in the parks on Thursday nights together. They have some really good bands scheduled. Rita volunteered to be our Activities Director. We plan to keep her very busy keeping us corralled.
So if you're tired of the snow like us??? Remember the up side... Spring is just that much sweeter when it comes! :)

Educator News
By Dennis & Sig Jewett , Chapter Educator
Hey everyone, it’s March, just one more month of winter. (I hope, I hope, I hope!) First of all I want to thank Kevin Heap for conducting our MFA class in January. It was a success and I also want to thank everyone who came to the class. We both feel that it was a fun learning experience. Thanks also to the Monticello Fire Department for the use of the Fire Hall Conference room.
Secondly I would like to thank everyone for the wonderful support and comments to my little article that appeared in Wind World magazine, Your responses were very positive and rewarding. I urge everyone to read page 22 of the March issue of Wing World. Mr. Ros Barnes (GWRRA #149570) of Los Lunas, New Mexico took the subject a little further. This is a growing issue not only in our area but everywhere else. We all need to remember the rules of the road to ensure our safety and the safety of those around us. We can practice safe riding everyday if we practice safe driving every time we get behind the wheel and drive.
It’s almost been a year since we volunteered to be Chapter W Educators. We admit that we were more than a little apprehensive about this, because we were afraid that we couldn’t measure up. The people of Chapter W and the District Officers have made this an easier position than we had anticipated, and I want to thank my wife, Sig, for being there for me and doing all of the presentations at the socials. If it weren’t for her I could not be involved in all of this.
We especially would like to thank the staff, Dave and Linda Angell, Don and Rita Schlosser, Michelle and Duane Raymond and Jerry Fouquette, for making this experience fun and rewarding.
I guess what we are trying to say is thank you all for the past year for all your support. We have had fun, learned some new things and meet some very wonderful people. We are looking forward to this next riding season with everyone.
Remember to keep your head up and eyes focused!!
